Carla Lippis

Adelaide native Carla Lippis spent 4 years as a cabaret performer on London’s West End, where she worked as the principal singer for the historic Cafe de Paris, and as the host of notorious nightclub The Box. Her original music spans alt-country (Carla Lippis & The Martial Hearts), Rock (The Rules), and 60’s Italo Pop (Baby Carla). Her current band “Carla Lippis’ Mondo Pyscho” debuted at Womadelaide 2022, with a new album imminent. Her theatrical appearances include La Soiree, The 27 Club, Southern Belles and her own productions Cast A Dark Shadow and Midnight Marauders. She is the co-composer and co-star of the new Windmill Theatre production Rella. Her career as a session singer includes collaborations with M Ward, Calexico, Sacri Cuori, and Marc Ribot.
