David Hibbard
BASSDavid Hibbard has enjoyed an equally impressive concert career having sung performances of Haydn’s Nelson Mass and Schubert’s Mass in E Flat Major at London’s St John’s Smith Square, Beethoven’s Symphony no.9 in the Beethovenhalle in Bonn where he has also performed the role of Osmin in concert performances of Mozart’s Zaide, he has appeared in the Australian premiere performances of Janacek’s Glagolitic Mass at the Melbourne and Perth festivals, sung the role of iin The Damnation Of Faust, again at the Melbourne International Festival for Victorian Opera and been engaged for the Messiah and the Verdi and Mozart Requiem by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. Other concert appearances include, most recently during 2016, the City of Stonnington’s Opera in The Park in Melbourne.
His recordings include York Höller’s opera, Der Miester Und Margherita for WDR and broadcasts for Nord Deutsche Rundfunk.
Engagements during 2017 included the role of the King Of Egypt in Opera Australia‘s Opera on the Beach production of Aida.
Roles during 2020 include Sciarrone in Tosca for Opera Queensland.
