Martin Alexander

Born in Trinidad and Tobago, violist Martin Alexander started out as a pianist before making the switch to the viola, and completed undergraduate studies at both the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and the University of Tasmania. His postgraduate studies include Masters at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Performance Certificate at the Australian National Academy of Music in 2016, and since then he has performed with orchestras around the country.

Martin is a violist in the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and pursues chamber music opportunities as much as possible. In 2019, he toured nationally with the Seraphim Trio and has been a regular face at multiple chamber music concerts across Queensland and South Australia.
