Rowan Rossi

Rowan is an Adelaide born dancer and performer who moved to start his formal training at the New Zealand School of Dance, where he majored in contemporary dance and graduated in 2015. Whilst in New Zealand Rowan Performed in World of Wearable Arts directed by Malia Johnston, Karst, a work choreographed and directed by third year students, as well as Kuik Swee Boon’s As It Fades and Sarah Foster-Sproull’s Forgotten Things. Since graduating Rowan moved back home to Adelaide continuing to develop his craft: in 2018 , he joined Australian Dance Theatre, which gave him the opportunity to create and perform in the premiere of works such as South, Supernature, G, Anthology and The Beginning of Nature by Garry Stewart on stages around Australia, Europe, and America. Also, during his time with ADT Rowan worked with many other directors, choreographers and dancers on the works Of All Things by Alison Curry, North by Ina Christel Johannesen, Immerse by Adrianne Semmens, and Shapeless/Formless a solo work by Felicity Boyd.
Rowan has also appeared within two Adelaide Festival operas, Romeo Castellucci’s rendition of Mozart’s Requiem in 2021, and Barrie Kosky’s The Golden Cockerel in 2022.
