Sara Donnelly

SOPRANO

Soprano Sara Donnelly holds a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (QCGU), where she was awarded the Linda Edith Allen Undergraduate Award and, most recently, the Elizabeth Muir Postgraduate Award.

Sara made her operatic debut with Opera Queensland in the regional production of Rossini’s Barber of Seville in 2016. Sara has performed, in scenes, Poussette (Manon), Pamina (The Magic Flute), Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro). Highlights include her operatic role debut in 2019 with Opera Gold Coast as Nella in Gianni Schicchi, Dido in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas (Queensland Conservatorium) and Verdi’s Requiem (Opera Queensland). Sara looks forward to portraying the role of Anna Maurrant in Kurt Weill’s Street Scene in September, under the baton of Johannes Fritzsch (QCGU).
