PATSY HEMINGWAY

SOPRANO

Patsy Hemingway was born in in Melbourne. Her early professional roles were in musicals, including Eliza in My Fair Lady, Maria in West Side Story and Doreen in The Sentimental Bloke.  She worked in opera and musical theatre in South America and studied in Turkey before returning to Australia where she spent two years with the Canberra Opera and Canberra Repertory Companies. She joined The State Opera at the end of 1975.
