Otello

“What Would Iago Do?”

Festival Theatre

25 Oct - 01 Nov 2014

Otello’s battalion anxiously awaits his safe return from battle. When he arrives and announces that the enemy has been defeated, a celebration commences. Otello’s ensign, Iago, is resentful that Otello has appointed Cassio as Captain and he devises a plot to defame Otello and Cassio. Iago convinces Roderigo, who is secretly in love with Otello’s wife, Desdemona, to help him. Iago plies Cassio with alcohol and provokes a fight.
