South Australian born Baritone Josh began his professional career at State Opera South Australia as a member of the children’s chorus. Since then, he has performed in numerous productions until relocating to Melbourne in 2005, where he performed regularly with Opera Australia for over 10 years alongside completing his Bachelor of Music Performance at the Victorian College of the arts in 2009.

Roles include Pish Tush (Mikado), Papageno (Die Zauberflote), Polyphemus (Acis & Galatea), Escamillo (Carmen), Lancelot (Camelot), Samuel (Pirates of Penzance), and Quince (A Midsummer Night’s Dream). Josh has also appeared as a soloist with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, Melbourne Youth Orchestra and the Adelaide Art Orchestra.

Having recently relocated back to South Australia in 2020 with his young family, Josh is thrilled to be returning to the State Opera stage.
