Mark Oates


Mark is an award winning and respected South Australian performer. His credits include the Adelaide and Brisbane Festivals, State Opera of SA, SINGular Productions, Ding! Productions, Six Foot Something Productions, Aerial Artists Australia, and MOatesArt Productions.

For State Opera of South Australia, Mark’s roles include Njegus The Merry Widow, Arjuna Satyagraha, John Styx Orpheus in the Underworld, The Cantor Maria de Buenos Aires (co production with Leigh Warren Dancers – Adelaide Festival Centre Playhouse and Brisbane Festival), Joe The Station and le Guide and Lillas Pastia Carmen. Mark has appeared for the Adelaide Festival as a featured Street Singer in the Bernstein Mass (2012) and Ruffiak Le Grande Macabre (2010). Mark is also a long standing and proud member of the Chorus of the State Opera of South Australia.

As well as numerous concert and music theatre credits, Mark has appeared in the Adelaide Fringe in his sold out, self-produced Fringe show Mark Oates and the Daniel Brunner Pretty Big Band. Most recently Mark has joined Aerial Artists Australia for sold out seasons of Le Aerial at the Perth Fringeworld Festival, as well as seasons in the Adelaide and Auckland Fringe Festivals.
