Mark Oakley

LIGHTING DESIGNER

Mark Oakley is a lighting, projection and technical designer working on Kaurna Yerta and around the world. His most recent designs include The Puzzle (Projection Design, State Theatre Company South Australia, 2024); Hits (Laughter Through the Tears, 2024); Starweaver (Madness of Two, 2024); The Tree of Light (Projection Design, Slingsby Theatre Company, 2024); Claire Della and the Moon (Madness of Two, 2023); Guthrak (Under the Microscope, 2023); Cathedral (STCSA, 2022); Di, Viv and Rose (Rumpus, 2022); Happy Go Wrong (Under the Microscope, 2022); The Deep North (South Australian Playwrights Theatre, 2022); Blood, Sweat and Karaoke and Clock for No Time (Rumpus, 2021); Limit (State Theatre Umbrella Production, 2019); 30,000 Notes (Under the Microscope, 2019); The Executioners (Anya Anastasia, 2018/19).

He has spent numerous years touring with as a technical manager with on The Young King and Emil and the Detectives for Slingsby Theatre Company.

Mark spent the 2018 Fringe season as resident lighting designer for The Lab at Queens Theatre and has also spent several years working at Co-Opera during which designed and toured several shows interstate Così fan tutte (2015) and The Magic Flute (2015).
