Following the success of The Frog Prince’s primary schools touring, State Opera is offering South Australians an exclusive chance to experience a family friendly opera production at the 2024 Adelaide Fringe.
Originally produced by Opera Queensland and shake & stir theatre co, The Frog Prince is a modern retelling of the classic Grimm tale, where a spoiled princess encounters a sassy frog and an unlikely friendship blossoms. They embark on a fantastical and uplifting journey, learning lessons about friendship and the importance of looking after the environment along the way.
The expert ear will recognise popular operatic arias by composers such as Mozart, Rossini and Bizet, revisited to wow and wonder kids 12 and under, for a fun and accessible opera experience.
