Mark Oakley

LIGHTING DESIGNER

Mark Oakley is 6’5 and is not British. He is a technical designer and manager working on Kaurna Yerta and the world. His most recent designs include Clock for No Time (RUMPUS, 2021), Gynt: After Ibsen (Flinders Drama Centre, 2021), Blood, Sweat and Karaoke (RUMPUS, 2021), Claire Della and the Moon (Madness of Two, 2020) Limit (State Theatre Umbrella Production, 2019) 30,000 Notes (Under the Microscope, 2019), The Executioners (Anya Anastasia, 2018/19), Phantom of the Opera (GASSA, 2018). He has spent numerous years touring with Slingsby Theatre Company (The Young King, Emil and The Detectives) and continued travelling up to Woodford Folk Festival, where he was responsible for set electrical effects.
Mark spent the 2018 Fringe season as resident lighting designer for The Lab at Queens Theatre and has also spent several years working at Co-Opera during which designed and toured several shows interstate Cosi Fan Tutte (2015), Magic Flute (2015). Mark graduated from Brighton Secondary School in 2011.
