Max Junge

ACTOR/SINGER

Max is 12 years old and has had a passion for singing classical music since he joined his first choir at the age of 4.

He currently sings in Young Adelaide Voices’ First Concert Choir, having previously sung with Gondwana Choirs at their National Choral School. Max commenced classical voice and piano lessons at the age of 7 and has been mentored by some exceptional teachers. He has performed in many professional, community and school productions as both a soloist and chorister. Max has also enjoyed success in numerous Eisteddfods.

He made his opera debut as a member of the regional children’s chorus for Opera Australia’s production of Madama Butterfly and recently appeared as a chorus member in State Opera South Australia’s production of Boheme on the Beach. In 2021, Max was a chorister for Adelaide Symphony Orchestra’s performance of Carmina Burana and Richard Mill’s Nativity. Max aspires to be a professional opera singer and is incredibly thrilled to be taking on the role of Miles in State Opera South Australia’s production of The Turn of the Screw.
