Rosie Hosking

SOPRANO

Rosie is an award-winning performer whose career spans over 25 years and has seen her perform on the musical theatre, operatic, cabaret and corporate stage both nationally and overseas. Her credits include performances with the State Opera of South Australia, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Adelaide Festival, Cameron Mackintosh, Popjam Productions, Seabiscuit Productions, Six Foot Something Productions, The Factory and Ding! Productions. She studied at the Elder Conservatorium and is now delighted to be lecturing there in the musical theatre degree.

For the State Opera of South Australia, Rosie’s roles include Prince Orlovsky in Die Fledermaus, Second Lady in The Magic Flute, featured roles in Love Burns and most recently a member of the ensemble cast of Sweeney Todd, understudying the role of Mrs Lovett. Rosie has also been a proud member of the State Opera of South Australia chorus since 2006.

Theatre credits with other companies include Diana in Next to Normal (Six Foot Something & The Factory) for which she was awarded the 2012 Adelaide Theatre Guide Award for Best Professional Female Performance. She also performed the role of Miriam in the Australian Premier of The Front (Adelaide Cabaret Festival), Lily in the national tour of Mother, Wife and the Complicated Life (Popjam Productions), Dinah in South Pacific (Seabiscuit Productions), The Phantom of the Opera Australian/NZ Tour (Cameron Mackintosh) and in the chorus for Requiem and The Golden Cockerel (Adelaide Festival).
