
Zachary McCulloch
TENORZachary McCulloch is a New Zealand-born tenor who has performed with companies across Europe, Oceania, and North America, including Deutsche Oper Berlin, Opéra National du Capitole de Toulouse, Festival della Valle d’Itria, Landestheater Linz, Opera Australia, and Victorian Opera.
His repertoire spans Mozart, bel canto, and French opera, with standout roles including Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Gualtiero (Il Pirata), Ferrando (Così fan tutte), Oronte (Alcina), Flavio (Norma), and Nadir (Les Pêcheurs de Perles).
His upcoming performances in 2025/2026 Season include the 4th Jew (Salome) and and the Third SS Officer (Die Passagierin) at Opéra National du Capitole de Toulouse, Ein Lehrbube (Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg) at Deutsche Oper Berlin.
He has collaborated with renowned conductors and directors, including Fabio Luisi, Victorien Vanoosten, Francesco Lanzillotta, and Nicola Raab.
McCulloch’s training includes the Accademia di Bel Canto “Rodolfo Celletti” in Italy and the ICAV Course in Montreal, where he debuted as Rodolfo (La Bohème). He was a studio artist with State Opera South Australia in 2021.
