Explosive romance and fiery dance. A young Richard Strauss falls hopelessly in love in his romantic Violin Sonata; paired with the invigorating music of Spain from Sarasate and de Falla. Featuring the virtuosic playing Kate Suthers, Concertmaster of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra; guest tenor Jihoon Son, star of State Opera’s La Cenerentola; and one of Australia’s most exciting young pianists, Melbourne-based Laurence Matheson.
