A modern day adaption of the classic Grimm tale hopping around the Eyre Peninsula, Riverland and Adelaide Hills as part of the 2025 DreamBIG Children’s Festival.
Originally produced by Opera Queensland and shake & stir theatre co, The Frog Prince is a modern retelling of the classic Grimm tale, where a spoiled princess encounters a sassy frog and an unlikely friendship blossoms. They embark on a fantastical and uplifting journey, learning lessons about friendship and the importance of looking after the environment along the way.
In addition to a contemporary storyline, the show features a variety of popular operatic arias by composers such as Mozart, Rossini and Bizet, revisited to wow and wonder kids 12 and under, for a fun and accessible opera experience.
Suitable for year levels R-6.
