Andrew Crispe

Andrew is an established freelance performer and actor, having performed professionally in and around Adelaide for many years. His first foray in the world of music theatre and operetta was over 20 years ago, and he has been a member of the State Opera South Australia chorus since 2009.

Andrew won his first leading role in 2006 and has gone on to play many leading and supporting roles ever since. He has been nominated for Best Male Performance by the Critics Circle Awards and the Adelaide Theatre Guide and won the TASA Best Male Performance Award for his portrayal of Edward Bloom in Big Fish. He co-wrote and performed in the sold-out season of Villain-Ville: A Musical Exploration of Villainy and Evil in the 2015 Fringe Festival.

More recently, Andrew has appeared in State Opera’s Sweeney Todd as Mr. Fogg in 2021, as Richard D’Oyle Carte in the G&S Society of SA’s Tarrantarra! Tarrantarra! in 2022, and as the Foreman in Trial by Jury during the Adelaide Fringe Festival earlier this year.
