G&S FEST, a 10-day celebration of the founding fathers of British comedy opera Gilbert & Sullivan, was held in Adelaide/Kaurna Yerta in May 2023.
The first festival of its kind outside the UK, State Opera celebrated the topsy turvy world of G&S with performances of Pirates of Penzance, H.M.S. Pinafore, Trial by Jury and The Sorcerer, along with special events including a high-tea, film viewings and talks by G&S experts.
