State Opera South Australia is thrilled to announce two incredible opportunities to share the experience of acclaimed singers with up-and-coming artists and the community.
Participants in the tuition-free opportunities are selected from our upcoming young and emerging artists, who receive coaching and mentoring to assist them in reaching their artistic and professional goals. However, limited spots to assist as observer are available and open to the public.
MASTERCLASS WITH KATE LADNER
Renowned Adelaide-born soprano, and Verdi specialist, Kate Ladner presents a masterclass focusing on opera arias in the soprano and mezzo-soprano repertoire ahead of her powerful performance in the role of Lady Macbeth in September.
A selection of singers will present in this public event, including Sopranos Fiona McArdle, Lucy Stoddart, Millicent Brake and Mezzo-Soprano Meran Bow.

MASTERCLASS WITH PAUL O’NEILL
Australian Tenor Paul O’Neill presents a masterclass focusing on opera arias in the tenor repertoire in the lead up to his performance as Macduff in the production of Macbeth in September.
A selection of singers will present in this public event, including Tenors Jiacheng Ding, James Nicholson, Callum McGing and Kim Worley.
